Earlier this week I did complete my resume and completed the overhaul of my LinkedIn account. We (my coaches and I) were working on the About Me section, and I noticed a huge change in views on my LinkedIn page after making all those adjustments in a matter of three days. So with the proper adjustments, I can honestly say it makes a difference. My coach made some suggestions to use specific terms to make sure that my page pops out, and that’s been very helpful.
I went through the course and I learned a lot. And this is the biggest thing I’ve learned--I didn’t really have too much experience in sales or tech at the time, but I learned that in interviews and things like that it doesn’t really matter. You do need to understand it (i.e., the requirements of the job and the tech field in general), but it’s more about how you story-tell. The biggest thing is painting the picture for people and just being able to have a good conversation with whoever is interviewing you.
My background has been sales my whole life until COVID happened, so I decided to become a behavioral analyst, which was a very stressful job. I work for Verizon now, and I’ve always been intrigued by tech. I saw Careerist, I did my research, and I also knew a person who had gone through the program, and I was really excited to be a part of it and just jump in.
Careerist is fully committed to your long-term professional success. We offer a 100% money-back guarantee if you don’t land a job in tech within one year of graduation. For complete terms and conditions, read here.

Absolutely! We’ve designed our training program with tech industry newcomers in mind, making it an excellent way for those without a technical background to enter the field.
The required level of technical expertise for a sales engineering job can vary between companies. Some may prioritize advanced technical skills, while others value your willingness to learn. If you’re new to technology and have basic computer knowledge, there’s no need to be concerned. Our training program is designed for individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with minimal tech experience. We’ve witnessed many students begin with limited technical knowledge and, through our training, successfully transition to become effective Sales Engineers. With the right training and a commitment to learning, you can make a successful career transition, regardless of your starting point.
The Sales Engineering program lasts nine weeks, with six weeks dedicated to the learning stage and three to the internship simulator. Additionally, after completing the training and internship simulator, you’ll have the opportunity to move on to the career coaching stage, which typically lasts at least four weeks.
The internship simulator provides a simulated environment tailored to replicate the tasks and challenges faced by Sales Engineers. It includes scenarios related to product demonstrations, technical sales presentations, customer interactions, and other aspects of sales engineering. The internship simulator allows you to practice and develop your skills in a controlled setting.
Yes, you will receive certificates at various stages of your training. The first one is awarded after you complete your lessons. The second is earned when you finish the internship simulator, and the third certificate is granted after you start working on your job search with your Career Coach.
Your job prospects in the field of sales engineering, as a course graduate, are influenced by your dedication to learning, your performance in the internship simulator, and your receptiveness to the career coaching provided. Your success in these three key stages increases your potential for securing a job in the field.
Our career services help you avoid frustration by making your job search safer, faster, and more convenient. Your Career Coach will support you with advice, help analyze your progress, and prepare you for interviews or salary negotiations.
Our instructors are seasoned experts, each with over a decade of experience in sales engineering. They have honed their skills at prestigious companies like HP, Dell, Oracle, HubSpot, ID.me, 4impactdata, and others. You’ll gain valuable insights and knowledge from these industry professionals with proven track records in the field.
We’ll provide you with all the necessary materials on your Learning Space, including presentations, glossaries, cheat sheets, self-check forms, and post-lesson guides.
Our lessons are conducted in a live format, which is crucial for real-time interaction, immediate feedback, and personalized learning. This approach encourages active engagement and accountability while fostering a strong sense of community among students. If you miss the live class, you can also watch lesson recordings on your own time.
Live classes are held every weekday, Monday to Friday. The sessions commence at 5:30 pm PT, 7:30 pm CT, and 8:30 pm ET.
If you can't make it to a live lesson, you can access the lesson recordings, which are available in the Learning space for you to watch at your convenience.
Our team is committed to providing comprehensive support throughout your journey in the learning stage and the internship simulator. We’ll guide you through a smooth onboarding process, resolve any technical issues you encounter, closely track your progress, offer constructive feedback, and promptly address your questions to ensure a productive and engaging learning experience. You’ll also have access to tech mentors who can assist you with various program aspects. Schedule one-on-one sessions with your tech mentor to enhance your learning journey and maximize the benefits of the internship simulation.
To take part in our Sales Engineering training program, you’ll need a computer with a dependable internet connection and access to a compatible web browser. Specific software and hardware requirements may vary by course, so it’s critical to review the course details for any additional prerequisites.
